Acclimatization 3 days PROGRAM
Acclimatization 3 days
Cotopaxi Refuge 4897 m

Acclimatization 3 days Illiniza north, Cotopaxi 2 days

Day 1: Iliniza north
Our trip  will start in our offices, where we verify the technical team with the guide. Then we go to the north Iliniza with 5126 m.s.n.m, is located about 98 km southwest of Quito; it is used a lot for acclimatization if we wish to achieve the ascent to other volcanoes or higher mountains. Once the equipment is verified, we head towards the parking lot of the north Iliniza, and then go for a walk of approximately 3 hours until we reach the refuge, where we can take a break. Then we start the summit attempt, this depends on the weather. We made the descent to the parking lot to take the transport and go to the place of rest.

Day 2-3: Cotopaxi

The next morning we enter the Cotopaxi National Park where we will go to the volcano park where we will take the equipment, and then take a 1 hour walk to the volcano refuge to rest, have lunch and check our equipment. With the help of the guide we will realize the glacier school, this will depend on the climate. We will have dinner and we will rest to carry out the attack on the mountain in the early hours of the morning. Once the summit attempt is made (this depends on the weather) we return to the refuge to have breakfast. We will descend towards the parking lot for the return to Quito.
